Cannot recommend this place enough, as the place to eat in Kota Kinabalu! The food was absolutely divine - we are big eaters of Indian food, and we loved this place. The atmosphere is great. The staff are lovely and really helpful. We are vegan and they were very accommodating, with lots of vegan options and some specially tailored dishes. The pani puri and the aloo chaat were big highlights. The dal was great too. Yum! Would recommend.
Situated at a secluded shopping mall in Oceanus KK, stumbled upon this place while searching for a decent place to dine due to heavy rain occurs. To my surprise, the food were packed with flavour especially for the Chicken Tikka Masala, slightly buttery and with a mild hint of spice kick, definitely goes well with the rice/naan served. Garlic naan was good too and it pairs well with the mint sauce that came with the papadum. Jeera rice was quite on the plain side though loaded with cumin seeds and flavoured with ghee. However, the taste heightened with those gravy dishes. For panipuri, not much of a wow factor, but it was a great experience to diy on its own. Onion bhaji offered as a great snack btw. The price of the food overall can be higher, but the taste and portion do make it worth. Plus it's an air-conditioned place as well.
Delicious, friendly and child friendly. We came as a family of 4 with 2 slightly fussy teenagers. They happily had butter chicken whilst the adults enjoyed something slightly more adventurous! Super friendly and great service. The bar is limited but the house wine was tasty. Well worth a visit if you are in KK
Hands down, the best North Indian restaurant in Kota Kinabalu! The food is just ridiculously delicious; we couldn't stop ourselves from ordering more. The ambiance is super comfy, kudos to them for putting in the effort to make it cozy. It's a fantastic spot for catching up with friends or having a meeting over a meal. They've even got a small section for larger groups if you want your own space. Sure, it's a bit on the pricey side, but with the top-notch service and mouthwatering food, you won't mind splurging a bit.
I absolutely loved the food here! It was my first visit, and I had heard so much about this place. It definitely lives up to the name. The flavors were spot on. The garlic cheese naan, butter chicken, and pani puri, pistachio kulfi were amazing. We also tried a soup, though I can’t recall the name, but it was delicious too. Highly recommend this hidden gem!
Best indian food in kota kinabalu And they serve here really good indian chai as well . There menu huge with vegetarian and non veg dish so you can have a lot of choices to eat . i’ll definitely recommend mother india restaurant
Amazing Indian food, best one I have ever tried. Today is Sunday, and it is raining heavily outside. We found this restaurant after reading reviews on Google. Unexpectedly, around noon, we were the only two people dining there. Great dining environment, very nice service and introduction, and the food tasted great. We have eaten at many Indian restaurants in Taiwan and the United States, and this one is the best I have ever eaten. This is the best Indian food in Kota Kinabalu, and it has become a beautiful memory of our trip!
The best Indian food I've had since a long time....... really comparable to India itself. The chef is really good from India itself. Nothing is left out in their dishes. Vegetarian is available here too. The food is crazy delicious and we'll cooked to perfection. Could definitely come back for more.
